OUR GROUP IS READY.....ALWAYS READY TO LEND A HELPING HAND WHENEVER OR WHEREVER IT'S NEEDED.

We are here to provide volunteer services in the our emergency hospital and long-term care facilities.  We raise funds to purchase much needed equipment for our emergency staff in the hospital to diagnose, and treat, a large number of patients who arrive daily seeking medical help.

We offer the 62 residents of the Hyland Crest facility social activities, entertainment, a hand to hold and an ear to listen.  We purchase equipment for adding comfort to the residents, and as an aid to the staff.  Many of our volunteers visit with the residents on a regular basis.

 We have reached objectives to offer equipment to the Physiotherapy Department, the Kitchen Staff and the Maintenance Division of both areas.

 Our members organize and man the Gift Shop located in the Hyland Crest lobby.

Fund-raising activities include a Canada Day and Christmas Raffle with exciting prizes kindly donated by private citizens and local merchants.  We convene Fashion Shows, Bake Sales, a Bowlathon, Bonspiels and organize tea parties and Christmas Bags for the resident's of Hyland Crest.

 We are an enthusiastic and friendly group and are always happy to welcome new members.  Our general meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of each month, at l:30 p.m. in the Fireside Lounge at Hyland Crest.

HHHS Haliburton Site Auxiliary

Haliburton Hospital Auxiliary celebrates 36 years  of volunteer service.

Over the years, volunteers have conducted fund-raising events, to provide much needed equipment and furnishings to assist the staff for every part of the Haliburton Site. Their contribution has been invaluable. 

Our Gift Shop, located by the main doors, opened in 2000.  The shop carries many gifts, clothing items, and useful patient/resident items.  A tuck cart is provided twice a week for those unable to visit the shop. 

Gift Shop Hours:  Monday to Friday  12:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.

The Auxiliary furnished a meeting room with a donation left by a dedicated member.  We named the room in her memory:  "The Ruth Parkes Room."

Annual Events:   

St. Patrick's Day Lunch  -  Geranium Sale  -  Tag Day  -  Italian Night -

Fashion Show  -  Book Sale   -   Bake Sale.

Meetings:         First Wednesday of each month at 1:30 P.M. on the bottom floor of  the hospital in the Ruth Parkes Room.
